Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, aka Ari Lennox, was born in Washington, D.C. on April 26th, 1991. She's an American artist and songwriter, as well as the first artist to be signed by J. Cole to his record label Dreamville Records. In October of 2016, Ari Lennox released her EP Pho. The EP was where she received recognition. Her first album Shea Butter Baby was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox released her music online in 2012 when she released five Finger Discount mixtape and Ariography EP in 2013. In 2014, she continued to upload her music via the internet, including her self release single Bound. In 2015, she was featured in Omen's Elephant Eyes album on Sweat it out on 21st July. J. Cole had her submit her tracks in the direction of his Dreamville Team in the following year because he was hoping for Rihanna to collaborate together on a few references.
